Quick Start

From install to your first AI-assisted edit in a few minutes.

Sign in

  1. Launch the desktop app and click Sign in.
  2. Your browser opens the Swork Team sign-in page. Authenticate with your account.
  3. You are redirected back and the desktop app is signed in automatically.
The token handoff only redirects to the local app or the official swork:// link — never to an external URL.

Open a project

Use File → Open Folder (or the command palette) to open a directory. The file explorer, git status, and terminal all scope to this folder.

Run your first agent

  1. Open the AI panel and pick an agent — a built-in role like Engineer, or a custom agent you created.
  2. Describe the change you want in plain language.
  3. Review the proposed diff, then accept or reject it.

Agents can use built-in credits on a paid plan, or your own provider keys. See AI Agents and Usage & Limits.
